The Idiots describe this stage of their journey at


including one lowlight - a gang of theives working the no-man's land between the two border stations that they'd never heard about before... these bandits were also there when the Idiots returned a couple weeks later, but all that was exchanged were glares. Apparently, like bands of predators, they only come out when weakened animals (or Idiots) are separated from the herd and vulnerable...

and there are some basic comments about their shuttle company, AA Shuttles (All Africa Shuttles). To be fair to AA, though they did confuse us by dropping us on Jamil on the N-A run, and then a guy from Riverside showed up at their lodge the night before the return trip, somewhat confused about the return booking and asking for more money... still, Thomas was so nice and they did arrange the pickup from the lodge and had their very nice van driver, James, waiting at the stop in Nairobi to take them to their overnight in Westlands... so overall, AA did deliver the basis - just with some confusion and with no sign of the
