Paying for my safari

Hello

I'm considering booking a 21 day safari with a company called All Seasons Safari out of Nairobi. My question is: Is it safe to wire transfer money to tour operators? This operator is a member of KATO and I have looked at their profile. Is being a member of KATO enough to ensure I will not be left high and dry once I arrive in Nairobi?

Thanks

Carol

Most tour operators need a deposit of 1/2 the amount to secure the rooms for you. The first time I did it, I admit, I was a little nervous but all was fine. The company you mention, I traveled with them in March and had no problems with the wire and the trip was fantastic. And rather than pay the balance on arrival and carry that much cash, I wired the other half before travel. I'm traveling again with them soon and wired the deposits and will pay the balance ahead as before.

Thanks Laurena. It was on your advise that I checked with All Seasons. The itinerary is everything I want. I'm just really scarred of getting burned. I would be absolutly devastated if that happened.

I have researched a lot of tour companies, and All Seasons is one of the highest recommended. I am going with them when I next get to Kenya. They are professional and will not leave you high and dry.
