Possible to camp for several days with safari company?

I'm thinking I'd like at least 3 days in massai mara, and maybe one other place. I am a single traveller, I'd like small tents, I'd need transport from nairobi. My aim s to get good photos of wildlife. 26th oct to 3rd nov.

Any suggestions anybody? Have spent the day researching, I've sent lots of emails but struggling to find joining safari that spends a good bit of time in massai mara. budget not good enough for a private tour.

Thanks

1. Re: Possible to camp for several days with safari company?

Know the truth about doing a safari as a Solo traveller - it's VERY EXPENSIVE !!

1.You have 2 options, hire a 4x4 & self drive or struggle to find & join a suitable group to go the Mara.

2.Not that many budget options in the Mara either, the few that are there, are miles away from the hotspots.

3. Single Supplement applies in almost all decent lodges, mostly upto 50%

4. Park Entry fee is $80.00 PP Per Day.

Have a look @ 2N/3D package tours to Mara with:

Includes Transport, accommodation, food & game drives.

Must be a group of at least 4 PAX for this kind of safari.

Good Luck

Hiya

I recommend you look at www.kupendaafrica.com or if they work out too expensive try www.maraexplorers.com who can do transfers from Nairobi and arrange excursions in the Mara.

Gamewatcher's (Porini) have a couple of "adventure" safari packages. They supply the tens, food, cooks and porters, etc.
