There certainly is a dining car where you are served dinner and breakfast. Take anything of value with you as the compartment doors don't lock from the outside and the attendant goes in at dinner time to make up your bunk while you eat. If you are a solo traveller you will be sharing with other guys (3 in second class and 1 in first class).
The dining car isn't open all night so it might be advisable to take a few drinks and snacks with you.
