First time kenya and safari !!

Hi going to Kenya staying at the baobab in Feb 2014,is this hotel good for kids I have a 14yr old and 11yr old.

As we are there over half term will there be many other kids there and is there plenty going on during the day ?

I have not booked a safari yet but like the look of saltlick. Tsavo east/west.

can anyone recommend a good reasonable safari company we are wanting to go 3 nights 4 days.

I would also like to see any dolphins ?? any suggestions.

Any advice recommendations would be great...first time to Kenya and safari experience.!!

Many Thanks

Hi thanks for the reply I have looked at the southern palms hotel it looks very nice.I am a bit in limbo where to book I know someone that stayed at the baobab and really enjoyed it, but the southern palms look equally as nice but this seems to be more open than set in the trees as the other are.I also like the sunbeds on the beach too.

they are roughly the same price which makes it harder to decide.

Thanks.

I am totally being biased here as have stayed at Southern Palms 38 times therefore would not go anywhere else.

There are sun beds on the beach and you will not be disturbed as security guards are always on hand.

The hotel has the biggest pools in East Africa I believe with jacuzzis and swim up bar.

You can sit in the gardens with trees - there are trees at this hotel and also find a quiet corner by the pool - if you have children the pool would be excellent.

We have visited the Baobab as friends were staying there and invited us for lunch and we looked around and at the rooms but prefer 'our second home' Southern Palms which is at the Northern end of the strip but at the matatu terminus and plenty of taxis at their rank to go to shops etc.
