yellow fever vaccinations

Im 72 and hope to travel to S America in Feb. next year. Have read all about the dangers of the jab to older people esp. if having it for the first time.. Can anyone out there tell me its ok???

Much, much better getting that answer from your physician or a Travel Health specialist. They would likely weigh the risk of the jab against the risk of your contracting YF.

You can get some information on risk of YF by going to the S American country(ies) forum(s) pertinent to your travel plans.

It would depend on where in South America you are going but this is a travel forum.

This is definetly a question for your Doctor. If you are not able to be jabbed he can give you a letter of contradiction. See your doctor.
