Jewlerers in China.

Hi all,

I have a river pearl necklace (10 threads) not expensive really, but has a huge sentimental value for me. My husband bought it for me in Venice back in the days when we were young and ...well, poor...

The pearls are still the pearls - look amazing- but the closure - faded and looks ugly. I guess it's a nickel plated pewter... I brought them back to Venice one day, but they just snubbed my request - doubted I could afford it...

Is there a chance to replace it somewhere in Shanghai (or other place), given the fact that they produce/sell them nearby? Possibly with silver/gold?

Thanks a lot,

Unless you are really familiar with a specific store, I would not do it.

Why do you want to go to China to do it? You are there only for a few days (I assume) and there is no recourse if you are not satisfied with the work.

There are lots of Asian/Chinese jewellers or just jewllery repair shops in major Canadian cities.
