China has this: http://electricaloutlet.org/type-i

and this: http://electricaloutlet.org/type-a

You can buy an adaptor in China for nearly nothing.

Also, if you have several devices to charge, you can buy a universal power strip in a supermarket in China like this but smaller: amazon.com/VCT-USP600-Universal-Built-Protec…

Most hotels cope with EU plugs in their standard outlets. Unfortunately the UK has its own standard :-)

So you need a converter in China, coming from the UK. As said above, either buy them cheap in China or borrow from the hotel.

You might consider buying a powerstrip and then one converter plug for your strip since my devices were dual voltage I had no issues. Even the locals started plugging into my strip on my trip

I have several of these as they tend to get borrowed by others (on a somewhat permanent basis). Yes you can usually borrow one from your hotel or buy a cheap one in China. But why spend the time doing that when you can buy one for yourself and not worry about it?
