Dinner before cruise departure

We'll have a few hours in the city before departing on our cruise. Suggestions for a good meal (we are prepared to spend) in a restaurant close to the pier are welcome. Our only requisites are that the restaurant is very clean and the food is very good.

Much thanks.

Have dinner in Jiefangbei (the CBD area) where there are many shopping malls with restaurants in.It takes a short ride to the dock.

Hot pot 火锅 is a Chongqing specialty. Easy to find and delicious. If you want it a little hot but not fiery, ask for 微辣 broth (pronounced wei la.)

Since with hot pot your meal is boiled right at the table, you should also have less sanitation concerns that if it were made out of sight somewhere in back.
