Bona fide jewellery boxes and items that can serve as jewellery boxes can be found all over HK but, as already mentioned, Hollywood Rd. on HK Island is chockablock with antiques strores selling all manner of interesting items.

For a real bargain (though with no guarantee that what you're purchasing is a real antique) and for lots of fun go to the stores and stalls on Upper Lascar Row (also known as Cat Street), a not so narrow alley that runs parallel to Hollywood Rd. on its north side.

You can easily combine a visit to this area with a walking visit to Ladder St./Man Mo Temple and the interesting Sheung Wan/Western Market district.

Yes agree with cheesburger. This is a great walk and the shopping is fantastic. Details of the entire and map of this walk can be found here:

So print off and take with you. (Many other great walks are downloadable from this site too)

Also on the sam ewebsite go to discoverhongkong.com/eng/…index.jsp

and search under antiques and you will find a number of listings which are part of Hong KOng's Quality Toutrsm SErvices Scheme
