We are staying at the Harbour Grand Kowloon. will it be possible to walk along the promenade towards the Pennisula hotel and star ferry area from our hotel now another section has been opened

Possible, but it is 4km (or 2.5 miles) long.

Possible but far. It's best to take their complimentary shuttle to behind the Peninsula Hotel. (Every 20min/30min???) Or taxi. Unless, of course, you purposely want to walk.

I love walking as you see so much more but I understand that if it is hot and humid the experience may not be so good

In the early morning and late evening, its a nice walk to the Star Ferry along the promenade but we've only done it from the area directly south of Hung Hum station! If you like walks by the sea, this is a good one.

Have not seen the newly added section, hope its nice.

Between the Whampoa area (Harbour Grand Kowloon) and the TST promenade, you will have to walk through the Hung Hom Station complex, via footbridges and covered walkways underneath the station concourse. So you cannot walk the entire length along the waterfront.
