There are still several pet stores on Cannon Street in Causeway Bay including Classic Pet Shop at number 8, My Dear Pet Shop at number 20 and Mega Pet at number 17 which also has several other stores;

Dog One Life has a store at 459 Lockhart Road, Causeway By;

Online purchases could save your money.

You could try http://www.petproject.hk which is a newly launched store. You could get the best prices plus free shipping on purchase worth HK$225. You could find great many varieties of leading brands.

All the best.

Q-Pets has a location in Mong Kok (134 Tung Choi St) but not CWB or Central.

Mongkok has a small area FULL of pet-shops , around Liberty Avenue, (check in google map -3-4 min walk from mong kok east MTR - just cross the bridge and go right..) - this area , for some reason - is packed with vets, pet-shops, pet hair dressers etc ...)

Do not buy a pet from a pet store. These pets usually come from unknown origins. Many of them have hidden diseases. You need to go to a proper breeder (but I am not the one to ask on which one to go).

Also, you need to make sure your home country allows you to bring a pet back. You need to understand the quarantine policy. At some countries, quarantine can last several months.

As a pet owner myself, I would wholeheartedly recommend AGAINST buying a pet, and take the adoption route instead. On top of the reasons stated by Sammyfloyd above, there is also the problem of abandoned pets, which I believe is pretty widespread in most countries.

Not to mention you only have one day in Hong Kong, so it would be impossible to have the puppy checked by a vet and get the paperwork done in such a short period.

Hello I wish to buy a miniature pinscher puppy in Hong Kong and take it with me to my country. Any idea from whom / which pet store to contact.

Thank you.
