Amah rock from Tai Wai

Would be greatful of details to getting to the entrance of the Lion rock country part entrance from Tai Wai station, the aim is to go to Amah Rock from Tai Wai rather than coming from Wong Tai Sin...

I know that one has to take the Che Kung Temple exist from Tai Wai station, but the details are vague afterwards as most of the sites mention the full hike starting from WTS.

Thanks in advance.

By buses that via Lion Rock Tunnel.

Drop off at the Toll Square.

If you come from Tai Wai/Shatin... direction, on your left (east side) has an uphill stone step trail, follow it for 20~30min to the Rock.

If you come from Kowloon direction, cross the fly over and follow the stone step trail, follow it for 20~30min to the Rock..

It is pretty straight forward by looking at Google map. Just walk along Hung Mui Kuk Road from Tai Wai Station, it is a bit tricky by the time you reach to Lion Rock Road, but you'll find the Amah Rock sign after the walking under pass.

Good luck, remember to carry water.

It would be easier to take a bus from Kowloon (e.g. 81C from Tsim Sha Tsui), and alight at the Worldwide Garden stop on Hung Mui Kuk Road after crossing Lion Rock Tunnel, and walk to the trail head from there. It would save you from walking uphill from Tai Wai Station to the Hung Mui Kuk interchange.

Thank you very much for the replies. Checked google maps and found that accessing from Worldwide gardens would be closer, must try to find a bus either from Tai Wai itself or from Shatin/Fotan which go there.

Postponed this hike till weather is better and did a waterfall hike which is, more suitable for summer/ early autumn hikes.

Finding a bus from Tai Wai? Might as well just walk there from Tai Wai Station along Hung Mui Kuk Road. Only about 1km away:
