Abalone

Hi guys,

I will be in Hong Kong in Sept for few days.

I would like to have a Chinese meals with good Abalone (may be 4 to 8 heads);

Kindly suggest a chinese restaurant good at this dish. I am staying in Kowloon side. However, I do not mind travelling to Hong Kong side for food.

Thank you so much !

Lei Garden, they don't specifically specialise in it but the general level of food is good and I did enjoy the abalone the one time I tried it there.

Many restaurants in Hong Kong serve abalone. They are money makers. There are abalones in various prices and qualities: size big, size small; dried and reconstituted, or fresh (live); what waters are they from; species differences; etc.. Just about any dim sum plus live seafood restaurant (typically big restaurants), you will find abalone.

Abalone is expensive stuff.

Besides Lei Garden, you can also try Fook Lam Moon, Forum Restaurant, and Fu Ho, etc.

East Ocean and Victoria City might be doing a better job as well than it used to under new ownership. They might be slightly cheaper.
