New Operating Policy For Tourists traveling in Tibet

Considering two big traffic accident happened to Chinese tour groups recently,a new operating policy is published by the Tibet Tourism Bureau that if the vehicle is with more than 20 seats then a policeman will be on the coach to supervise the driving speed and number of the tourists.

In this way, if you have a very big group, then for traveling, it might be divided into some small groups for the safety reason.

In addition, speed reduces to 30KMH. That say the journey time will longer.

they always come with endless-useless policies and ideas right after accident happens. The new policy will increase risk of getting permits for sure.

Restriction for the Kailash permit is very difficult situation this year because this year is a special religious year for Kailash, so controlling number of pilgrims at the area. But i don't think the permit policy for general tours effect by the recent accidents

What was the previous speed limit?
