Raja Ampat Dive Operations?

I'm looking for recommendations on a live aboard or land based resort in Raja Ampat. Planning on traveling March 2013.

Thanks -

For land based, I highly recommend Kri Eco resort or if you want a luxury, then stay at the Sorido, in the same island. Both, owned by Max Ammer, the pioner of Raja Ampat diving.

I understood, many people will recommend LOB to cover wider area. However, this area has the best Raja 4 north dive site which will keep you busy for a week or more.

In fact, we saw lot of LOB park at this area when we stayed there.

I post a review in TA and a more detail report of our trip in scubaboard, indonesia forum.

Hi Mikejoe-

I have been living in Northern Indonesia for 6 months and really want to see Wayag island in Raja Ampat before I head home in December. I have only found one boat tour so far that I could remotely afford but it does not work with my dates. I can find cheap enough accommodation on Kri, Gam or in Waisai but the only day tours I can find to Wayag are exorbitantly expensive. I am a budget traveler but could spend up to 1million rupee a day if need be. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Thanks for your help.

Sage
