Reservation needed for breakfast???

I am FINALLY on holiday and going back to Bali - with baby this time - YAY! It will be his first trip out of the country!

Thing is, I am going to be there from 27 - 31 Dec and I have never travelled to Bali during this period. My villa does not provide breakfast, so I thought of having breakfast at a restaurant/cafe. For the regulars who go around this time of the year, do you think I need to make any reservations? And where would you suggest? At the mo, I can only think of La Lucciola...? I will be taking my parents with me- so that they can spend time with their grandchild as well, so there will be 4 adults - maybe 4 adults would have more problems getting a table than 2?

Whaddya think?

Hi Jade du!

You will definitely need to book somewhere such as La Lucciola.

It is busy at breakfast, we have been there in Dec/Jan and the restaurant is busy, people walk in, must stay nearby.

Places we have eaten breakfast in Kuta/Legian, we have never booked.

I guess it depends on the locale and its popularity.

I would not think a table for four would be much harder than one for two!

hope this helps

Just book, even if you don't end up needing to. Somewhere like LaLuc is so popular, it could well be busy for breakfast as well. Never been there at that time, but I imagine it will be wonderful, just like like lunch and dinner.

Have a lovely time.

Hi Jade-du,

Welcome back to Bali. It'll be nice to see your baby if possible, although normally I'll avoid the South during peak season.

You need to book for La Lucciola, they are getting more and more busy. Don't forget to mention the smoking/non-smoking section. Also grab the Hello Bali magazine, in case you need to order some delivery meals and just too lazy to go out.

By the way, how comes that your villa doesn't provide breakfast?

See you soon,
