Needing advice please on accom

Booking our 2nd trip, last one in '08. Girlfriend and I escaping from husbands and kids. Last time we stayed at Sofitel Seminyak and loved it. Budget a bit tighter this time, at this stage looking at either Pelangi Bali Hotel or the Ramada Resort Camakila. Looking at travelling in bout 2 weeks. Any feedback would be awesome. Thanks

how tight a budget and what areas you looking at? do you want somewhere just to store your shopping and sleep or great resort to laze around in.

Budget about A$100 a night. We did like staying in Seminyak and yes we love to shop but also love to enjoy lazing by the pool in a nice resort. Thanks

Hi,

Why not try one of the nicer mid range hotels like the Courtyard.

Its stylish, in a good location and comfortable.

Try the Melasti in Legian- its reasonably priced! Stayed there in August this year. Was great location on the beach.

The Ramada Camakila is still fresh and new and ideal for 2 girls.

The MBR is more suited to families.

Thanks for your feedback guys, probably swaying towards Pelangi at this stage, would have liked to book a deluxe room but only superior rooms available. Have read some reviews, sounds ok, not 5 star but thats not our budget this time round.

Just got back on Saturday - would definitely recommend Ramaka Cam - it's new, looks great - if you can get it on the web then grab it. O-C-EAN Outrigger is also a good deal if you can get it. We took a risk that we would get a better deal when we were face to face and made a mistake - we ended up getting pretty bad accom at Jayakarta for 3 nights and then booked the remainder of our stay via Wotif at a cheaper rate than we could get on the desk! Flipped a coin and lost!!!!! Pelangi or Puri Raja also worth a look.
