Eye lash extensions in Bali warning

A friend and I just got eyelash extensions at hair creator in the the gallerie mall and it was a terrible experience. We got them done before flying out last night, after checking out the salon and being recommended to go there for haircuts by another tourist. The haircuts were excellent quality, very happy with that, but the eyelash extensions were painful and uneven.

we have tried to get them removed professionally after enduring them for our overnight flight home, and have been informed that they actually used super glue and would just have to let them come off over time. Theylook and feel terrible and we have certainly learnt our lesson for trusting the quality in Bali... this was a painful lesson to learn and I hope others avoid such treatment

It is always possible to have eye lash extensions removed professionally. It is especially recommendable if too harsh glue is used. As a matter of fact you have to remove them professionally as soon as possible since the glue might damage your own lashes. They will break off and that will give you months of short lashes. Before that they can give you pain and the chance of infection. There are all over the world very good eye lash stylists but you gotta have a very good specialist. It's not an expertise you can develop easily so you have to be very careful in choosing a salon or stylist. Unfortunately there are many unqualified stylists over the world as well. Not only in Bali. Taje care with your lashes!

Thank you for the advice margariet, I did call another salon and got them removed after the poor advice of the first salon we called, as they were too infected And painful to tolerate.

Lou Im not sure I follow what you mean by being cynical about my first post, I am just trying to help others to avoid a similar situation, I have nothing to gain by lying.

A good caution for others thinking of doing the same thing.

Sounds like this is something best avoided, probably not a good place for someone to be mucking about with adhesives and the solvents required to remove them may be quite nasty as well.

It must have felt quite horrible, good to hear it has been removed.

I do this service in my salon- do you really think that the type of solvent needed to dissolve " superglue" is a great idea for the eye area?

I had a client in who had a similar experience from Bali but some of her bottom lashes attached themselves to some of the top ones and were " yanked" out but stayed Attached to the top ones and looked a bit like antennas!

I am so glad you had them removed safely And hopefully they are feeling and looking heaps better.

I am glad you had them removed, Yazparr! It must have felt horrible.

Yes, Hurcules, this is one of these painful activities ladies have to go through to look beautiful! There are specialist in eye lash extension who really can do wonders with your lashes and you will feel no pain or discomfort at all. You will find the best ones in the USA, especially around Hollywood.

No this is not a thing ladies HAVe to go through to look beautiful they normally are beautiful anyway. It is something some go through because they feel the need to. Many of us just accept ourselves for what we are.

Going to sound ignorant because I have never had these (been told since i was a toddler than i have gorgeous natural ones) but I'm genuinely interested in what is the normal procedure?
