Hi, going to Bali next June for the 1st time in 25 years. (I'm sure it hasn't changed a bit) When we stay in Thailand we normally take all of the hotel drinks out of the fridge and then load it up with stuff we buy cheap from the local Supermarket. Can you do this at the Legian Beach Hotel?

Edited: 26 October 2012, 03:52The only places you can't do this are high end, usually big city hotels. All items in the fridge send a signal if you lift them up and you are charged automatically. :)0 it's horrid :)

44 reviews The trouble with those sensor mini bars is that they can be over-sensitive. I read about a guy who bumped into the fridge and ran up a $700 bill. Some hotels give you 40 seconds to replace the item before they charge you and some charge you immediately as Linda said.
At those places I would call room service and say My husband is a reformed alcoholic with diabetes and all contents are to be removed.
and allergic to nuts !

the only problem we encounted last time was when a different person did our room they charged us for drinking one can of coke.since it was cheap anyway i didnt bother worrying about it
Best to call the front desk or housekeeping and tell them you do not want any part of this ruse and to take the contents away if you want to be sure they do not try to bill you for it.
