Asking for a little help again....

Can anyone suggest how to get some translations done?

I have a 2 year old who is anaphylactic to nuts and am beginning to feel a little stressed about how we are going to manage this in Bali. We will of course have his epi-pens and other medications to administer if needed.

I was just wondering if anyone can help with being able to communicate to people that his food must contain no nuts. I was thinking of taking a laminated card that said something like...

"I am severely allergic to nuts. If I have nuts it is life threatening. Can you prepare my food with NO NUTS. Thankyou"

Can anyone help me??

Many thanks!

This was posted by fameNSW fairly recently (I tried to copy the whole topic but it wouldn't work for me!)

You can print this off to be on the safe side.

Please do not give my diaghter anything containing peanuts or cooked in peanut oil because she is alergic to them.

If she eats anything cooked in peanut oil or eats any peanuts she might die.

So thanks are due to fame for the original post

I realise now that you were asking for nuts, as opposed to just peanuts, - the above is peanut specific.

The word Kacang will cover all types of nuts, so use the above.

Thanks so much - awesome help! It is tree nuts not peanuts so that is great if it covers all nuts.

My child is a boy - does that matter in the translation??

Your help is really appreciated - it will help me be a little more relaxed.

google is good for translations

www.google.com.au

under the tabs at the top of the screen = MORE

clck on the down triange and translation should be the first entry

then type in your words in English - select Indonesian

and voila

For a boy just replace anak perempuan (child female) with anak laki laki (child male). She and he are the same word - dia - so no problem there.

The above specifically says "kacang tanah" - peanuts. Delete the tanah. Also, the "di" between kacangan and dimasak is wrong and should be "atau."

There were a couple of other errors actually, so I re-wrote it a bit, and also made it specifically for tree nuts. If there are errors in this, hopefully a native speaker will come along and correct it.

Terima kasih atas perhatian Anda.
