Vaccines in Bali?

Vaccines in Bali?

Have been debating whether to get vaccines for our upcoming trip to Bali. Not something we have ever worried about with any other Asian holiday but everyone keeps telling us Hep A vaccine is recommended. Just checked the price for this locally at Chemist Warehouse and it was $143 per person. Seems very expensive and thought maybe it was something I could just do there cheaper?

Any thoughts?

See your GP and Government websites for this important advice.

However, in regards to your question about whether to do it here, or when you get to Bali. The answer is by the time you get the injection in Bali, it will not be protective until after you have left.

If you have private health cover check it out.... We went to Thailand this year and had Hep a & typhoid shots, cost $600 for a family of 4, through my cover I got back $450 so it was a no brainer for us... hope that helps

It is really completely up to you whether or not to get vaccinations to travel to Bali. Just wondered why you think it would be best to do this for Bali when you've travelled throughout other places in Asia without bothering.

But to answer your question, you'd need to research the matter and speak to your GP then decide. Many people travel to Bali without having vaccinations and there are others who wouldn't dream of leaving Australia without being their jabs.
