Bali/Indonesian Food

Hi all,

I was hoping that you may be able to assist me in finding a restaurant similar to Kunyit. I hear that it has recently closed down. I have only been there once and was planning to go in a few weeks time.

I love good Balinese/Indonesian food and I would like the setting to be on the same level as Kunyit. Its for a family dinner the day before my bday.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi J H

I have never been to Kunyit , but if you want good Indonesian and Balinese food in the same area then you should go to Kafe Batan Waru which is opposite Waterbom park. The food there is excellent and I always eat there when down in that area. Their ayam rica rica is the best in Bali! Yum!

Cheers

in my last trip to Bali early Jan, i went to Coco cafe in Bali Collection Nusa Dua. tried Ayam Betutu

Their Ayam Betutu taste so heavenly good that keeps me drooling in jakarta...

This is authentic bali cuisine.. I guess they are part of Coco chain..have multiple outlets..

have a try tropicalbalirestaurant.com/about-coco-bistro…

Hi,

I have to second Batan Waru in either Ubud or Tuban. And yes Ayam Rica Rica is delicious, Otak Otak as an appetizer is quite good also. I was in Tuban for Satay night, it was a treat.

Another one of my favorites is Bale Udang Mang Engkin on Jl Nakula.

I discovered last trip, Warung D'Sawah in Seminyak or is it already Kerobokan.., great for lunch as you can enjoy the nice view.
