Wedding

Hi, I'm planning a in November wedding for 20 guests. We have organised accommodation, flights and reception. All that is needed now is a ceremony on the beach, hair, makeup, cake and photography. We have $4000 left in our budget. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Damien if you type 'wedding in bali' or 'getting married in bali' you can read a lot of helpful information as this topic comes up frequently.

You need to get a wedding organiser / planner, there are many to choose from, we used bali wedding butler.

Just start with the basic 'legal wedding ceremony' and add / delete any items this way you only pay for what you need. IF you just choose th basic legal ceremony you can tell the planner you want to choose your own photographer, make up artist, cake, flowers etc. (More info is available for you to read about this on previous posts).

Getting married on the beach can have some issues as the local banjar must be asked and give their permission. An alternative is to have the ceremony on the beach as one of the beach front hotels. Normally this is for in house guests. I don't suppose you booked a beach front hotel or villa by any chance? If so e mail them for some quotes. Many people just book a beach front hotel as it is much easier that way.

There are venues overlooking the beach that have been specifically designed for weddings. These come at a cost.

E mail a few planners and make some enquiries with them as to the venue you require.

What ever you do ensure that you have all the necessary paperwork in place that is required for a 'legal' wedding ceremony in Bali.

Hi!

I get a regular newsletter from Bali Dynasty Resort and yesterday received one notifying me of their Wedding Packages. I did not read it, but just looked it up and their packages start at $1100, either do a search of BaliDynasty web site or email info@Balidynasty

Cheers!

Have you checked with your hotel? I would be very surprised if they weren't able to help. Are you having your legal wedding at home or Bali? It is much easier to do the legal bit at home and then a ceremony in Bali.

Are you planning to engage a wedding planner? This may be helpful, especially if the planner offers flexible packages that can be customised to suit your needs (as you may not require extensive services for your beach wedding ceremony).

A wedding planner will also be able to recommend quiet beaches located away from the tourist hotspots in Bali that are suitable for your wedding ceremony. Public beaches tend to be crowded, and there may be many tourists and locals standing by and watching your wedding ceremony, which may feel rather intrusive to you and your guests.

I hope this helps!
