Yes they always use the meter. There will be an airport charge though (not much). It will be added to the meter.

They are right outside the exit gate.

Find the spot that has its logo or banner. Talk to the Blue Bird staff, and he/she will find you the taxi.

It should be easy to find it.

Good luck.

blue Bird Taxis (regular taxis) can be found at the taxi rank OUTSIDE the arrival hall. After exiting customs, you will go to arrival hall where you will see few money changers and car rental counter, walk outside to the non-aircon part of meet & greet area. From there, look for taxi ranks with lots of taxi company signage. Look for Blue Bird group sign and get your taxi there.

All taxis in Jakarta are run by meter.

Traveller_Zhou, hi,

1/ Blue bird designated stop/ counter is located Outside the terminal building. Look for the logo and attendant in a blue vest.

2/ Also recommended taxi from the airport: White Horse, Silver Bird. Both executive...

All recommended taxi companies work UNDENIABLY on meter.

3/ Avoid touts, keep your eyes open, and have firm grip on your luggage.
