Best beach in November

We will go to the Philippines for two weeks at the very end of November, We are looking for paradise beaches with snorkeling or diving a boat trip away, We don't want the beach to be too bussy. We are traveling on a mid range budget.

Where would you recommend us to go?

What weather can we expects?

Is the weather different depending on which island or coast we choose?

I suggest Boracay but stay at Station 3.

If diving is your main hobby, you may want to try Puerto Gelera.

Malapascua will be good for diving too but it is a very laid back island.

Weather at end November is generally good as it is at the very tail end of the wet season.

Oh, how can I forget Panglao Island. Dive at Balicasig and stay at Alona beach.

You can do a country side tour in Bohol too.

Boracay can be busy but as MH says station 3 is on the quieter side of Boracay.

Alona Beach is also worth considering and Siquijor is an even more chilled out place again with beautiful white sandy beaches. Easy access to Dumugette from where some diving can be organised.

Bohol,Cebu Siquijor and Dumugette are all a short fast ferry ride away from each other.

The weather may well be better in the central Visayan ('Visayas') Islands and the southern Mindanaoan ('Mindanao') Islands than on the most populous and largest island of Luzon (where Manila is).

Book a night through www.asiatravel.com ('Crazy Rates' for Manila and makati are great) when you arrive.

Next morning catch a flight to say Dumaguete City (for Siquijor by boat) or Kalibo/ Caticlan (for Boracay). Both are in the Visayas.

Alternatively, Coron town (fly to Busuanga) is a great destination as you can hire a small boat ('banca') for P1500 a day (A$38 or US$39) and snorkel at a few locations close to white sand beaches. I have even done it in the rain.

Don't forget that depending on the route, you now have a wide choice of airlines: AirPhilExpress/ Philippine Airlines; SEAir (book via www.tigerairways.com); Zest and Cebu Pacific. They depart from different terminals at Manila NAIA Airport so check that carefully.

In Boracay, the wet season is usually considered over in October. That said, I don't think that either Boracay or PG are what you are looking for. Boracay doesn't have great snorkeling. I'd also recommend Bohol.

Coron Busuanga fits your requirement.

It has paradise beaches, great snorkeling and diving.
