AirPhilExpress pulled out of Clark?

Picked this up on another forum.

Checking the schedules, after today there are no AirPhilExpress flights out of Clark.

How I wish there is a fast rail between Manila and Clark.

So domestic flights out of Clark have (with three exceptions) proved to be failures.

(I wonder if Kalibo can support AirAsia AND Seair?)

So with just three domestic destinations (Davao,Kalibo,& Cebu), what does this say about the suitability of Clark as Manila's alternative airport?

Vetus, the lack of a fast train from a central point in Metro Manila is the 'killer' for Clark Airport.

Anyone who has struggled to get by bus, taxi or private car during business and shopping centre hours from Makati, Pasay, Pasig or Paranaque to Balintawak knows how unpredicatble or congested and slow the trip can be. This applies in both directions by road.

However, Emirates is seemingly more optimstic, although its new B777-300ER flight - a first for Clark as far as I know - does not commence until 1 October 2013:

This article does not discuss individual flights or name airlines, but it does not paint an optimistic future for Clark given that indecision is the enemy of investment:
