4 days in Palawan to escape the tours and resorts

Thanks to great advice here on Tripadvisor I am planning a trip to Puerto Princesa from the 3rd to the 7th of March. It's me and my girlfriend and we're on backpacker style budget. My question is: Does anyone know of any truly pristine beaches with only hut style accommodation within an hour or two of Puerto Princesa where the resorts and organized tours still haven't reached? I guess Nagtabon would roughly fit in with what I am looking for but I don't think there is any accommodation available there, plus the currents sound very dangerous. What options are there of paradise beaches with very little development? I guess we are looking for a haven of peace and beauty within the haven of peace and beauty of Palawan.

Thank you all in advance!!

Yea, I have heard of San Vicente but it's just a bit too far.

This place may be worth the extra two hour or so travel time:

alona-maria, do you know the name of the cottage and its exact location so that I may ask TA to place it on its database, enabling you to formally review it?

Aah, so "alona-maria amsterdam" should read "alona-maria tabuyo", owner of Tabuyo Beach Resort ?
