Difference between crispy para, lechon kawali, crispy liempo

Hello y'all,

I would like to try Filipino food during my first vacation in the Philippines.

What's the difference between these 3 dishes:

- Cripsy pata

- Lechon kawali and

- Crispy liempo

Is there another typical Filipino dish I really should try?

But note that I'm not into food like diniguan or balut.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Greetings

Crispy Pata - Deep Fried Pig Knuckles, usually served with vinegar and soy sauce dipping sauce

Lechon Kawali - Deep Fried Pork Pork Belly cut into squares or strips, served with "lechon sarsa", a kind of sweet sauce made by mixing ground pork liver, flour and other ingredients.

Liempo - is pork belly popular in the philippines. sometimes it is deep fried (lechon kawali) or roasted which is more popular - usually marinated in sugar, soy sauce and kalamansi (a small citrus fruit the size of marbles) before being roasted in charcoal.

eat them paired with san miguel beer. :)

Don't forget lechon baboy (roasted pig). Those descriptions is like food porn, yummy! For dessert try turon and halo-halo. Just google them to find out more.

Kamayan Restaurant has a branch in Megamall and they have eat all you can (buffet) lechon, liempo, halo-halo, turon etc.
