If you're prepared to pay for a flight from India, I don't understand why the odd ferry crossing should be a financial burden, especially as it's your honeymoon.

You don't even need to travel by boat to get to a nice beach.

There are places to visit from Batanes to all the way South like Davao.

You will need to let us know what interest you.

10 days is not a lot to cover Philippines.

Flights are very cheap in the Philippines. If you are not prepared to travel to an island then you will need to stay in Manila and choose destinations close by.

Why travel all the way from India then restrict yourself from seeing some of the best places in the Philippines?

If you don't want to fly within the Philippines then you should go to Thailand instead. You HAVE to fly at least 2x within the Philippines to see the best the country has to offer.

Thank you all.

I ws just trying to fina an alternative means of travelling within the country which would be cheaper. I am planning to book the air fares in advance so as to get the best rates. Also I wnat to utilise the best of 10 Days enjoying the beaches, some night life and also adventure.

So If you all can suggest which all places to visit.

@ Justin: Philippines seems better option than Thailand.

There are alternative means.

Once a week, good ferry operator 2 Go Travel has a ferry from Manila to Coron town on Busuanga Island. The website is at http://travel.2go.com.ph/

Book a suite; say 'no' to insurance but 'yes' to linen when doing the booking. Voyages only open a few weeks before but do not panic: you will normally get on. 2 Go also operates to other destinations such as Cebu City.

Alternative means wont save you much but you will waste precious time from your 10 day stay.

If you believe that the journey is part of an enjoyable holiday, a ferry trip one way from Manila to Coron will not 'waste time.' You could fly back.
