From Puerto Princessa to El Nido itinerary

I'm probably flying into Puerto Princessa and then have 10 days on Palawan and plan to end up in El Nido for a flight back to Manilla. Can someone help me with an itinerary please? I love amazing beaches, local life, nice food and bars. Many thanks

Hi,

Puerta princessa go island hoping around honda bay,

sabang about 3 hours north,(bad road) underground river, nice laid back beaches.

Port Barton, nice for snorkling & beaches.

Have you a flight booked from El Nido?,they are small planes & are expensive, might be hard to book when your there.

The flights are run by a private company, the people who are staying in Minolic & Lagen Island resorts get first preference,if there's a spare seat you can get it(at a price),but if its full.......

Its only 10km away its better to stay in PP,has nice restaurants etc.

check out going to coron from El Nido.

you can get a flight from there back to Manila & im sure it would be cheaper

I Think they have 2 flights a week..

IT would be much cheaper to fly in & out of PP.

You can get from El Nido to PP in 5/6 hours.maybe give Honda bay a skip or just 1 day there,2 days is loads in Sabang(Underground river only takes half a day).

Hi,

Sorry I have to disagree with Noel, we stayed in Sabang for 4 days and loved it. then we moved on to El Nido for 2 weeks. There is more to Sabang than just the underground river (which - if you like - you can walk to). The Mangrove tour is really good and there is also a walk along the rocky beach, past a Buddhist Monastery to a small waterfall. The main beach is good with big waves to play in. However swimming is not recommended due to the undertow.

We didn't bother with Honda Bay, as we met some people who had done that tour and the island hopping from El Nido. They reckoned that the El Nido tours were so much better, cheaper and less crowded. So after doing 3 trips in El Nido, we gave Honda Bay a miss.

I do agree that flying in and out of PP is much cheaper than trying to catch a possibly non existent ITI flight back from El Nido.
