Hi There, my partner and I plan to visit the Philippines in late March / early April of this year for a 3 week (ish) stay. After doing some research on the islands and the scuba diving available I decided rather than try a split vacation taking in Palawan (for Tubbataha) and the Visayas that we would focus on the Visayas and do some island hopping.
I came up with a possible itinerary and I just wanted a bit off feedback. We are looking for a beach holiday with lots of diving but also enjoy wildlife and walking trips too.
Fly To Manila and overnight.
Fly to Dumagette - stay Dauin for muck diving 2/3 N and stay Apo Island 2/3N more diving.
Fast ferry to Cebu - possibly stay Mactan Island for 2/3 N diving.
Maybe book return flight to Legaspi for Donsol whale sharks (need to check flight availability and days or checkout ferries via Masbata and manta bowl)
From Cebu take the ferry to Tagbilaran, Bohol -
spend 2/3 nights on Bohol (not sure where) and visit Chocolate Hills and Tarier Foundation and tour island)
then down to Alona Beach for 4/5 N stay and diving Panglao/Balicasag.
Then back to Manila (via Cebu or direct - need to check)
Fly back to UK.
Any feedback is welcomed.
