Visayas trip starting in cebu

Starting in Cebu I am looking to spend 5 days in a nice beach resort with my husband - I've read maybe Bohol is good for this but will i need another flight? or Siquijor? I also want to go swimming with whale sharks maybe 3 days for that down south of the island? Oslob? Is this achievable?

Where would be a good suggestion for a beach resort with out having to spend all our time travelling, the budget is under $2000 for the 8 days. I feel a bit lost as there are so many places that look amazing but I don't want to spread our time too thin.

Thank you so much for any help and guidance.

Have lunch at Abaca. It will be an experience. Chi spa of Shangrila is in the same area as well. You can also go there for lunch and have a drink or two. But Abaca is more intimate. Check reviews.

There is a baggage counter at the airport. 100/bag.

There is a Waterfront Hotel right next to the airport. The entrance is on the other side of the road to the entrance to the arrivals area.

It has a casino, restaurants and a massage Spa. However, I imagine that the massages are quite expensive.

All malls have a left luggage counter and they are free. As big_jim suggests you can also leave your luggage at the casino also for free.
