Moving to Boracay

Hello,

I live and work in the SF bay area, but lately have been considering coming to Boracay to pursue a small resort-type business. Do any of you Boracay experts have any thoughts or advice about this idea? Is there room for another resort? How about the timing? Are development plans getting better or worse?

Any insight you can provide would be much appreciated. I am visiting the island for the first time in December and would like to look into a few options while there.

Thanks!

Daniel,

There are plenty of extremely helpful Boracay experts who could probably provide an informed assessment. I've been to Boracay several times and my sense is that Boracay will be a decent business option for the near term, but it is quickly reaching its saturation point.

For other possibilities, you may want to consider Panglao in Bohol and Bantayan in Cebu, both with white sand beaches.

... I hasten to add that both Cebu and Bohol are very easily accessible for both international and domestic tourists.
