Not a noisey hotel

Can anyone recommend a nice, clean hotel where we can get a good night's sleep. We are first timers to the Phillipines and would like to pay around £50 a night over the Christmas period. Thanks in advance

MGM ('My Greatest Moment') is set back from the beach. It is about three to four minutes' walk, in a compound and was very quiet when I stayed.

www.asiatravel.com often has fairly reasonable rates for it. Read my and others' reviews for it on TA.

Otherwise, I agree that Station 3 is the place to be (it's the end of the island closest to the Cagban Jetty Port from where boats leave continually for the 10 minute or so trip to Caticlan). It's a pleasant walk along White Beach's path to Station 2, and beyond that the 'expensive' end, Station 1.

we stayed at Microtel hotel over this past x'mas. had the best room, double beach view for ~us$95. it's on diniwid beach with own beachfront, just past station 3, very nice and quiet, excellent service. can walk to white beach or take free shuttle bus to d'mall (runs 2-3 times per hour).

Try Blue Mango, Blue Corral, Roys Rendezvous, Daves straw Hat, Orchids, Turtle Inn for starters...they all may be in your price range.....I like Queens, no one else does in my family..Asya Suites was my cup of tea but expensive and its more for a once in a special while place to stay....

Microtel is in Diniwid, another beach up past station 1, not at station 3.

The southern part of the beach - Angol area - past station 3, is quiet and peaceful. Blue Mango Inn is a good choice.
