tuto-turo or house which can cook exclusively.

we are a group of 4 and i'd like to find a tuto-turo or house who can cook for us for 2 days since i think that would be fresher and cheaper. we can go to the market to buy our own or they can do it for us.

You will find your next turo turo in walking distance from just about anywhere in the island. Any of them will cater for four persons. Jasper's is probably the most famous on the island with excellent quality food but a bit stingy nowadays in terms of portion size.

lenker is correct..years ago, we had such a place but as the years passed, the prices went up, the portions decreased and pressure to buy things from them like boating etc. etc...finally made us....the Filipino part of the group realized the market is cheaper as is smaller restos...

The others are right, there are many places and resorts on "The Strip" who will allow you to buy their fresh seafood and meats from them. Although, while those resorts along "The Strip" offer that, it will not keep your cost down. Ask the 'tindera's' (the ladies selling goods) where "d'Talipapa" is. Ask them which direction it is along the strip or you can take a "tricycle" there but be aware they will charge you Per Person to ride only a few minutes away, while you could enjoy the scenery and walk along the beach to get there. There are signs as well to guide you. Once at d'Talipapa, head to the centre where you will find the "Wet Market". You will have a buffet of fresh seafood, meats and vegetables (Vegetables are sold in the little stores surrounding the Wet Market.). Then, directly in front of Wet Market are 2 restaurants, where you can select how you wish your grocery to be cooked and for VERY little money.

There is no hassles to get to d'Talipapa. Actually, you`ll find it to be a VERY close walk. I was only there for 3 days/2 nights myself and with 7 of us in our group, it was WELL WORTH it. Plus, it was FUN. But of course, it is your vacation. Enjoy!

A very close walk from where? It depends where you are staying on the island!

My favourite affordable little restaurant is Smoke, which has two outlets at the mall - one of which is located next to the wet market so that you can select your food and they will cook it. The main menu is also very affordable.

Smokes Bulalo is excellent - but Smo9kes kitchen is so dirty and greasy....
