Cebu Pacific connection - Terminal 3

Hi everyone,

We're travelling to Boracay for Christmas this year & have booked with Cebu Pacific from Busan (S. Korea) to Catliclan, changing at Manila. Just wondered if anyone could shed some light on the following few questions?

1. As our flights are booked as through flights (ie. both flights on one itinerary with Cebu Pacific), do we need to collect our bags / check in again at Manila or will they be transferred automatically?

2. We have a 5 hours wait in Manila (terminal 3) from midnight onwards...will there be any shops / cafes / restaurants in the terminal that are open at this time?

3. We had planned on changing money when we arrived in the Philippenes as the rate in Korea isn't very good, but obviously we will need a little bit of money for our transfers from Caticlan and also maybe food/drinks etc while we wait at Manila. Is there an ATM or money changer at terminal 3 in Manila that we could use, or would it be better for us to change money before we leave?

You need to go thru immigration in Manila..so your bags will come off...and get checked back in again...there is no immigration in caticlan. ...change money for the airport..by the way rate on Boracay is not that great either, so you may want to compare Korea rate to Boracay rate..decide how much you will lose in exchange, add in security and comfort concerns and then decide how to do the exchange initially...

There are some shops and restaurants that remain open 24 hours. Soonest you exit customs, turn left and walk towards the end of the arrival hall where you'll see the escalators leading up to the departure hall. You'll find them at the mezzanine level of the departure hall.

We arrived terminal 3 at 4am last month and there were a few places open to grab a drink and something to eat. There are ATM's on the ground floor if you need some cash. Exchange rates in Boracay are not that good as mentioned but if you go back from the beach along the main road that runs parallel ( not that far ) you can get a better rate.

1. No need to check-in again at Manila airport. You will be given your Caticlan boarding pass when you check-in in Korea. No need also to get your bags in Manila although you will pass through immigration.

2. If you are not tired I suggest you go to Resorts World Manila which has a free shuttle from Terminal 3.

3.There are several ATMs at Termial 3 that accepts Cirrus, Maestro, PLUS etc.
