If you want native looking hotel with good food stay at Friday's. If you want world class facilities and service and if you can afford, stay at Discovery Shores. Two Seasons is quite cheaper than the two and is quite closer to the bars. All of these three are beachfront and has access to the national road/hi-way. Although, if you want resorts near bars, you might hear their loud music at night, so that's Jony's or Beachcomber, they're both by the road also but not beachfront. Strange that one of the nicest resorts near station 1 is almost never mentioned: Seawind Resort. It is spacey, wide open not overbuild (like Two Seasons, which is narrow and 90% built up), has beautiful cottages and has the 'old Boracay' feeling. It's pricey (less than Discovery) but worth any Centavo.

Another choice at station 1 would be Niggi Niggi Too. A little cheaper than the places mentioned above.

I'm still a big fan of Fridays. I love the food and the romantic island-style ambiance. i'm personally not keen on concrete box-type hotels, at least not on the beach. Fridays blends with it's environment and is in tune with the surroundings, while many other newer establishments seem to go to great lengths to do the exact opposite and be totally at-odds with the environment.

I love Fridays. Stayed there twice and it gives a very relaxing and peaceful island feeling. They have lots of beach beds where you can just lie down and relax. They also have a bar and performers (acoustic music) at night.

Two seasons is nice too. They also have beach beds and nice breakfast buffet and a bar. Also, they have free shuttle service from the hotel to D' mall.

Enjoy your stay in Boracay!
