Think you're right. We've somewhat hijacked this thread and forgotten the original question, though the issue is relevant to the area. Sorry John from Darwin!

Foreigner money will not be lost, maybe replaced with other foreigners money. I agree to what has been said about station 3, but sadly eventually a big hotlel will be built in the south area so all resemblances to the old Boracay will be lost...its only a matter of time. For now, keep up the battle for sure....

Money is being lost at the moment as people are checking out of hotels and not dining at those restaurants because it is so loud. Whatever happens to Angol down the line, this is an immediate problem. The actions of the new tenants at Tree House are having a detrimental effect on the community and on other local businesses, and these arrogant people should not be allowed to ruin the charm of the Angol area.

Sound doesn't seem to bother those from White Beach divers and up...or further south along the beach past red pirates south. . Has it quieted down. I also understand there is a new ordinance that no loud music after midnight in station 3 area? . Is that true.

I'm told that is what the barangay captain ordered. But the noise polluters don't always comply unless someone is actually physically there ordering them to. And the decibel levels are over the limit even before midnight. I also heard talk of a general midnight noise reduction limit for other parts of White Beach as well as Angol but haven't been able to confirm that yet. Of course some people will be pleased and others not so much! Just my opinion but it would make sense to have some kind of zoning so that the whole of the island doesn't become saturated with super loud music and those who want peace can also enjoy their time on the island as well as those who enjoy partying. Passing by Queens Resort earlier we were surprised at the decibel levels coming from the upstairs bar area, and Crown Regency was just plain baffling - a huge speaker on the beach blasting out disco at crazy levels. No outside tables or seating, no guests at all, whatsoever. What's the point?
