Sadly yes. Invasion of the generic chain stores. The global campaign to make everything exactly the same wherever you go.

@CrgAust...add Shakey's Pizza and 2 Yellow Cab Pizza branches plus dozens of smaller franchises lining the beach path and D'Mall.

What's next CASINO?

I kind a likened BORACAY of years ago to a beauty queen, young and full of potential but as years gone by being handled by unscrupulous people taking advantage of her innocence, she's been drugged, raped and abused and I fear that sooner than later she will resemble a cheap drug addicted hooker that no one in his right mind ever going to avail of her services even for free.

An upmarket casino over at the golf course isn't going to have much affect locally. The locals mostly prefer gambling at the cockfights.

yes, your so lucky, Starbucks over charging drinks is on Boracay. Why not get with the local scene and hit Real Coffee, great place. Its locally run and not a chain.
