Which arrival group do you mean? On your flight? Yes, if you exit the airport and take a trike to go have lunch it may be a bit more difficult to get your ride to the island. You can either go back to the airport or ask a trike driver to take you to either the van terminal or Ceres bus terminal in town. But better off not stopping for lunch really.

There is no passenger ferry from Kalibo to Boracay that I know of. There's no point. By road it takes an hour and a half. By sea it would take half a day or more!

Thanks for the confirmation on the ferry Sirenna! :)

Yes, flight arrival group. That's what i thought might be more difficult. Except its really not convenient to eat in the airplane with my 1 yr old. Will weigh things out and decide later. Thanks for the advice.

There are some reasonably good eateries at the departure lounge in Manila, in the airport. Nice pastries, tuna sandwiches, pasta salads etc. Better to eat there and not fart about in Kalibo when you arrive.

You can also eat just after you get out of Kalibo airport.

There are also a lot of good eateries just outside Kalibo airport. We had eaten at "Bagobos" resto grill. Has both - Filipino and Continental fare. Big place, clean. It is just next to the parking lot.

Actually the parking lot is surrounded by eateries, most of which are good.

If you are a big group, it should not be an issue to eat and then travel. When we went last month, there were many vans parked outside the airport. You can just talk to them and arrange it.

I've eaten several times at Miggy's which is outside the Kalibo airport terminal building and to the left of the car parking area. It is quite big enough for to entertain groups and there's a good, relatively inexpensive, local and international menu. Plus they have an attractive, semi-open air terrace dining area at the back of the restaurant overlooking rice fields.

PS - I forgot to mention. The google maps of Kalibo airport has now been updated with the eateries.

Just to put your worries at ease, here are photos posted by various people of the restaurants mentioned above -

Miggy's place, mentioned by Sirenna, who is the local expert for Boracay :
