There's nothing anywhere near Shangri-la. All tricycle drivers would know where know those laundromats along the main road. I used to go to the one besides True Home near the church in Station 1.

Kegler747 you say laundromat and I wondered just in case there is a language hiccup is this where you do your own laundry (laundromat in UK means you use coin operated washing machines / driers) or is your meaning of laundromat a place where you can get your laundry done for a fee by someone.

Thanks in advance

It's a place to get your clothes clean. Just pay and someone would do it for you. As labor is cheap we let other people do the cleaning that is why self-service laundry is almost unheard of in this country.

Boracay Laundry options

------------------------------------

If you are paying for the Shangri la, this may not be of interest to you but this is what I do.

In case you are unaware, clothes dry easily in an airconditioned room. This is because the aircon removes the moisture from the room.

I wash clothes as i go in the bathroom sink. I do not wring them dry, I just put on a hanger dripping wet. I hang up in the bathroom until they stop dripping then put in the bedroom to dry. The clothes dry overnight and dry straight with an ironed look.

Last time I was there rates are around 35Php per kilo. Drop them off and they are ready the next day.

I have even dropped off clothes early in the morning - with a smile and a bit of prodding, they can be ready the same afternoon. The rates, as tommomelbourne indicates, are very reasonable.

The concept of self serve laundromats is not something that I have ever struck in Philippines. The relatively low labour cost would be a prime reason.
