Travelling with 10mo baby

Hi,

We will be travelling to Singapore with our wee 10 month old lad staying for about 5 days in october. Having trouble finding a hotel that keeps everybody happy for under £100 a night (could push that a tad).

I'm looking for somewhere with a pleasant baby/toddler friendly pool. A hotel that's not too posh and full of suited business men but at the same time not run down and dated. We like quirky, boutique type places and friendly staff can really make or break a place IMO.

We need something in a good location for fun attractions during the day and restaurants and lively but not too rowdy or loud bars for the evening.

We liked the look of Sentosa beach resort http://www.silosobeachresort.com/ but it would be pushing it a bit on the price. It also has some reviews saying it has a kind of deserted feel to it and is a bit run down and past it's best.

Sentosa may get a bit too much for us too as it kinda looks like a massive themepark. How easy is it to get into the centre from Sentosa?

Any suggestions and advice most welcome.

Hi Skinnyman

Myself and my 10 year old stayed at the novotel, I think it was slightly over £100 per night but by Singapore standards thats cheap, the pool was lovely but no childs seperate pool like in KL. The hotel was a in a fab location, 5 mins walk to tube etc. right on the riverfront for water boat etc.

Sentosa was really easy to get too, tube to waterfront then sentosa express, there in about 25 minutes.

There is a good directions website I used all the time which tells you how to get from A to B and how much by taxi, bus, train or walk, it;s here http://gothere.sg/directions

Any other quesiotns fire away

Jo

Ok, after discussing with my partner and reading other forums I've shortlisted these three:

Novotel:

City Bayview:

tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g294265-d3054…

Landmark Village:

tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g294265-d3054…

Any advice from folks who've stayed at these hotels would be very welcome.

Cheers,

Andy
