RWS breakfast

We are staying one night at Hotel Michael which doesn't include breakfast. I have searched through the dining options and it appears that there isn't much open at about 8.00am in the morning. Could someone suggest an inexpensive place to have breakfast, the buffets are too expensive?

Also how long does it take to get to Vivo City from RWS?

It takes around 10-15 minutes to Vivocity via the monorail. For cheap eats, proceed to the harbourfront bus interchange where there is the attached hawker centre.

ToastBox is in the shopping arcade next to the hotel and is open for breakfast.

Besides Toastbox which offers local fare, two other outlets along the same terrace also serve breakfast - Ruyi (24hrs) has Chinese fare such as noodles, congee and panfried radish cake, while 'The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf' sells stuff like muffins, eggs benedict and danish pastries.
