overnight accomodation and night time tours

I have an overnight stopover in singapore. I arrive in the afternoon so will have time to get to the city to explore for a while. A hotel close to markets or nice restaurants would be fantastic. My budget is up to $200 but would consider spending more if the location was great.

Also are there any short tours eg singapore at night that I might beable to do?

Hello,

Do you mean Aust$200 or SGD$200 for your budget? These are popular hotels around that price range.

Carlton Hotel, Bras Basah Road

Grand Park City Hall Hotel

Peninsula Excelsior Hotel

Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel

Rendezvous Grand Hotel

Ibis Bencoolen Hotel

V Bencoolen Hotel

Holiday Inn Express Orchard

No real markets in Singapore, apart from Bugis Street which has some cheaper stuff and sourvenirs:-

In the evening its great to head down to the harbour/Marina Bay Sands and watch the Laser Light show at 8pm. Nearby the Esplanade is Makansutra Gluttons Bay food stalls for a local meal, or head to Raffles Hotel for a drink.

Hi kija77,

Singapore is easy to DIY you do not need to join a group tour. As Avanti50 said above, Marina Bay is great to take a stroll at in the evening. Having said that, if you do want to explore the other parts of Singapore then Secrets of the Red Lanterns tour may interest you. But it's only available on Fridays.

My $0.02. Hope this helps.
