Which hotel to suit site seeing & chill out time by the pool

Hi helpful people.

My boyfriend (45) and I (38) are planning a trip to Singapore (1st time) the first 2 weeks in October 2014. We want do a bit of everything, museums, southern ridges, shopping, walking and also have some days relaxing by the pool at our hotel.

Our dilemmas are:

Fairmont (probably top of our budget) or Rendezvous - other suggestions welcome based on wanting a few days/afternoons round the pool?

8 or 10 nights?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Little_Sally, hi

It`s not really a dilemma - but clear Fairmont`s win, all rounds. For the same price range/ convenience and quality of service you can check:

Swiss MC

SwissTS

Royal@Scotts

Pan Pacific

Park on Pickering

Thanks for your help Schonefeld. Checked out all the hotels suggested and think will go for Fairmont. To keep costs down and have more spending money think we'll stick with 8 night as I think this will be plenty of time to see most sights and have some chill out time too.

Thanks again

Hello, the Fairmont is centrally located and sits above City Hall mrt station: very convenient for sightseeing. Raffles city mall next the hotel offers many food options for cheap breakfast, lunch or dinner. The Fairmont and Swissotel the Stamford share the same pool facility. The pool is shaded by the 2 buildings.

Budget-wise you may check the Carlton hotel. The hotel is near the Fairmont, shares the same ideal location. You just have to walk across the road to Raffles city mall for food options or Chijmes for a late drink.
