Hi ctmew,

The room is not 5 star but it’s pretty decent. It looks *almost* the same as the ones in the website photos - *almost* because in the website photos, the rooms look much bigger and brighter (some camera trick perhaps?) while the actual rooms look/feel smaller. But still, there’s enough space to move around inside the room.

The bathroom is a good size, and clean too.

The only hassle - the elevator only goes up to the 3rd floor. Since our room is on the 4th floor, we had to walk up a flight of stairs (and drag our bags on our check-in and check-out dates).

It’s in the neighborhood of Geylang, Singapore’s red light district, but I guess it's still far from the 'sleazy' area. The area between Kallang MRT station (which is the nearest, about 8 minutes walk) and the hotel is safe and not sleazy at all.

If you’re on a budget and not the picky type, I highly recommend this hotel. Hope this helps!

Hi maloucastaneda,

For day 1, you can choose from ‘night’ activities like dining/hanging out in Boat Quay or Clarke Quay; visiting the Night Safari (7.30pm – 12:00mn); or trying out the Singapore Flyer (until 10.30pm).

For day 2, it really depends on you. Since we had kids with us, must go places included the Singapore Zoo, Snow City and East Coast Park (for biking and rollerblading).

We'll be going there again on Nov. and I'll have 2 days all to myself - yay! I plan to go on a walking tour of Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Glam and the Clarke Quay/Boat Quay/City Hall areas.
