HELP PLEASE=Transit time needed ??

We've never been to Singapore airport before so dont really know what to expect.

Thinking of booking an airasia flight from Langkawi to Singapore arriving at 10.20am. We'd like to get the 12.15 flight out to Bali. So thats just under 2 hoursAre there long queues there. Is that enough time?

Many Thanks

Hi Julie,

Transit time in Singapore Changi Airport should be a breeze. Unless there's a delay in your flight, it is most likely that you would be able to catch your flight to Bali with time to spare. All terminals(1-3) are linked via Skytrain which takes less than 10mins to travel from one terminal to another. You dont have to worry about the frequency or crowd as it departs every 5 mins. I dont think you need to queue for anything if you're just transitting.:)

You flight to Bali check in will probably close 1hr before the flight. Assuming 40 min to deplane go through immigration, collect your bags and then proceed to the terminal for your Bali flight and find the check in counter. So if you arriving Air Asia flight is 15min late you will probably miss your connection.

If you can check your bags all the way through both flights with one carrier or carriers with a sharing deal, you'll be fine.

If you have to collect bags and check in again, or worse change terminal between the budget and the main terminals 1,2 and 3 then you cutting it fine.

Thanks for that.

Both flights would be with airasia. Do you know if they'd accept our bags to be checked in all the way through?

No Airasia like all budget airlines are point to point carriers. You need to go through immigration, collect your bags, go to the AirAsia check in desk to check in for your next flight. They wont help you if you arrive late and miss your next flight.

No they won`t, the luxury belongs to the commercial carriers. If you travel with AA you collect your luggage at every stop and check-in again for the next leg of your journey.
