Harry Potter Exhibiy

Anybody here been to the Harry Potter Exhibit? My daughter is a very big fan so we are taking her to Singapore for that as her bday gift. Any feedback?

We thoroughly enjoyed the Titanic exhibit last Jan. Am hoping this one will be just as good.

The harry potter exhibition runs at ArtScience Museam from 2 June 2012 - 30 September 2012.

IMO not worth the money unless you are a BIG fan of the character or Daniel Radcliff.

Just wanted to make sure if that was your opinion after visiting the exhibit or just your general havent-been-there opinion as I was looking for one who has been there as that was my first line.

Thanks for replying anyway.

Still hoping one whos been there would reply.

I am interested too. I suggest keeping an eye on the reviews for Marina Bay Sands and Artscience, although no mention of HP there yet.

I have just got back from an extended trip and visited Singapore and the HP exhibition while I was there. In my opinion it is absolutely fantastic and well worth the money!! I honestly wasn't sure what to expect before I went in, but I really enjoyed myself! It doesn't take more than an hour or so to walk around it, but you can stay as long as you like and walk around again (well worth doing because you invariably miss things).

You do not need to wait for the timed 'shows' however (I think they were every hour), unless you have a young child with you, as all this consists of is a young girl giving a brief welcome speech and taking a few of the children from the group to be sorted into a house from the actual sorting hat they used in the movies. The kids there absolutely loved it, but if you are not with any like me, then this part can be skipped if you don't want to wait for the next showing.

The exhibits are FANTASTIC!!!! Simple as that. The level of detail they put into all of the props is mind blowing, and they put them in really fantastic set pieces. They information they give about each one is just about right, not a lot, but just enough.

They only have one interactive exhibit (the screaming root plant things which you get to pull from the pots and they make that screeching noise which is really funny), which in my opinion is a shame as I would have like to have seen more, but at this price, I think it is well worth the money and well worth a couple of hours of your time. Especially if you combine it with a visit to the whole Marina sands/Merlion area. It is a FRACTION of the cost you would have to pay in Orlando or London, so my advice is to take the opportunity before it goes!

Yes we all enjoyed the exhibit too and combined it with a look around MBS and the Light and Sound show. Mike has provided a great review. I believe it was about half the price it would have cost in Australia. The merchandise is quite expensive though.

My brother went last week and he was very impressed with the exhibit. He said it was definitely worth going to.
