Babysitting in Singapore and Malaysia

Hi there

we have 2 young children (4 and 6) and was wanting to budget for babysitting options so we can enjoy a meal of an evening (and even some shopping!).

How much is it? Who would we use? Do you feel completely comfortable?

Recommendations, most appreciated!

Thanks so much

I'm sorry, can't help you with a babysitter. May be you can email the hotel. May be the DEs will know.

If we're doing serious shopping, we usually choose a hotel close to places I want to go and I leave the kid with hubby and I shop. You can definitely cover more miles w/o kids and they're probably happier at the pool. I'd buy lunch/dinner back to the room.

You mentioned M'sia as well. Just to share last dec while we were at golden sands penang, they organized camping for kids at night (not sure b'cos of Xmas). It was for 2-3 hrs and right infront of Sigi's (beach front restaurant). We had a nice adult dinner at Sigi's while the kid was in camp. Normally he's with at least one parent but since they're cared for by hotel right infront of us, I took the chance to quickly sign him up.

If you're staying at resorts, they will have kids club and may be able to arrange baby sitter for you.

Hi. Some hotels offer babysitting services. You can send an enquiry in advance to know your options there may also be some manpower agencies that provide services but it may be safer to go through your hotel.

Cheers!

The best source for a short term nanny is your hotel as all of them know about their responsibilities as a hospitality industry player. They would not risk their good reputation just because of a bad nanny service.
